Short Biography
Di Zhou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His research focuses on the physics and modeling of turbulent flows, using both physics-based and data-driven methods. Before joining UTK, he was a postdoctoral research associate at the Graduate Aerospace Laboratories of the California Institute of Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame. Prior to that, he received his master’s degree from Beihang University and his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern Polytechnical University in China.
